Church Pastoral Aid Society is our Mission of the Month.  For many years their Falcon holidays have been changing young lives for the better.  Meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those who face disadvantages in their daily lives, this happens in unique ways.  They are led by friendly Christian leaders, and they have exciting trips, new experiences, time with God, games and giggles galore. 

Sunday Lunch – Next Sunday, 24th September (4th Sunday), some of us will be sharing lunch in the Church Hall after the 10.30am service (please bring your own lunch).  All welcome!  More details from Robyn Ranu. 

Evening Services - With effect from 1st October our Evening Services will be at 5.00pm.  The 4 O’Clock on the third Sunday each month will remain at 4.00pm.

Bible Reading & Prayer, Monday - Friday, 9.30am – 10.00am, in the Chapel. 

Harvest – We shall be decorating the church on Saturday 23rd September, 9.30am.  All help welcome!  If you would like to join the team, please speak to Alison C.

Harvest Supper – Saturday 23rd September, 5pm for 5.30pm .  A ploughman’s supper including hot fruity desserts.  Last chance to sign up today!  Please sign the list at the back if you would like to come, noting any dietary requirements. 

Harvest Foodbank Collection – There will be a special foodbank collection for Harvest next Sunday (24th), to support Living Well (Bromley) and CAP (Penge). 

Macmillan Coffee Morning – Everyone is invited to Anthea’s, on Friday 29th September, 10am – 12.30pm.

St Paul’s Book Club meets next on Tuesday 3rd October to discuss “The Island” by Victoria Hislop.   You will be most welcome.

Our Families Together has started up again after the holidays.  Last Thursday on 14th Sept we had the theme of “The Sower and the Seeds” with relevant activities, songs and storytelling.  Our next session will be on Thursday 12th Oct and the theme will be another story of Jesus, “The Good Samaritan”.   Please pray for the preparation and for the children and parents/carers who come.

St Paul’s Open Golf – Wednesday 25th October at Shortlands Golf Club.  Please save the date!

RNLI Coffee morning – Saturday 28th October in the Church Hall.  Christmas cards, diaries, calendars, cakes, jams and much more.

Walking Holiday 2018 - Are you interested in a walking holiday, possibly in Northumberland or the Lake District, in early September 2018?  If so, please contact Tarina to register your interest.  This would be based on sharing costs of a large, self-catering house.

Songs of Praise for Harvest – Sunday 1st October, 3.30pm, at St George’s, Beckenham.   A Dementia Friendly Service, followed by refreshments.  See noticeboard in south aisle for more details.

The Big Knit – Saturday 14th October, 10am – 1pm, Rochester Cathedral. Knit as many 6” x 6” squares as possible!  See noticeboard in south aisle for details.

The London Welsh Male Voice Choir will be performing at Christ Church Beckenham on Saturday 14th October, 7pm.  Tickets are available from welshatccb@gmail.com or from Christ Church Office.

Transforming Work – A LICC course about being a Christian at work.  Tuesday evenings beginning 17th October, 7.30pm at St John’s, Eden Park.  Please see noticeboard in south aisle for more details.

Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen is being performed at Bromley Little Theatre, Thursday 9th November, 7.45pm.  A fundraising event for Welcare in Bromley. Please see poster in the porch and south aisle for more details.  Do buy a ticket.

A reminder to parents/carers – Children are most welcome at St Paul’s.  Please keep an eye on your children and make sure they are safe, in the church and gardens.
