Welcare in Bromley, our Mission of the Month, have their Annual Service of Thanksgiving on Tuesday 21st November at 11.30am at Bromley Parish Church. Buffet lunch, dance display, and an opportunity to find out more about this local Christian charity.  All welcome.  Please see more information on the posters in the porch and the south aisle, and do continue to look at the display at the back of church about this valuable service.

Audio-Visual System - The Diocesan Advisory Committee has approved our proposal to install a new AV system.  We now proceed to public consultation.  Please see noticeboards for more details.  Comments to reach Registrar by 16/11.

Away-Giving.  Recent Mission of the Month donations are as follows: SAT-7 - £695.87;  Spinnaker Trust - £689.78;  Church Pastoral Aid Society - £717.59.  Contingency Fund donations: Tearfund (Hurricane relief) - £400;   Disaster Emergency Committee (Myanmar Appeal) - £300.

Bible Reading & Prayer, Monday - Friday, 9.30am – 10.00am, in the Chapel. 

Sunday Lunch – A group of us will be going out to share lunch and fellowship after the 10.30am service today.  All welcome!  For more details, please see Robyn.

St Paul’s Community Choir Autumn Concert – Saturday 18th November, 7.30pm in the church.  Refreshments will be provided during the interval.  Admission is free and there will be a retiring collection for church funds.  The concert will end around 9pm.  Further details from David Storey (020 8663 9441).

From the churchwardens - Huge thanks to all who have shown an interest in Anna Couper’s Sleep-Out challenge.   From 18th to 19th November Anna and a team of volunteers will be sleeping rough in Borough Market, to raise awareness of youth homelessness and the work of DePaul charity UK.  If you wish to support Anna in this venture, or find out more, please speak to her for more information.

Taste of Christmas - Saturday 2nd December at 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm). Return of the much-appreciated taster of the different Christmas food the shops have on offer.  Tickets are on sale at the back of church for £6 (bring your own drink).   Numbers will be restricted, so don't delay. 

At St Paul’s Book Club on Tuesday 5th December we invite people to bring and read poems by Robert Frost and/or Edward Thomas (or another poet of your choice).  On Tuesday 2nd January we will be discussing “Life after Life” by Kate Atkinson.  Do come and join us.

The Sunday Conversation – A Life Story.  Sunday 19th November, 6.30pm for 7.00pm, Christ Church Beckenham.  With Tim Saiet, Ex-Royal Marine Commando, Unarmed Combat Instructor and Arctic Survival Specialist.

Collateral Damage – An exhibition of Art Works responding to the Arms Trade Fair (at the Excel Centre).  On view now at the Westminster Quaker Meeting House until the end of 2017.  See notice in south aisle for opening times.

Jobs at Stewardship, a Christian charity based in London.  Please see noticeboard in south aisle for two job opportunities.

Church Library - ‘Turning the Diamond – Exploring George Herbert’s images of prayer’.  The author Dennis Lennon comments that our breath comes to us as the Father’s gift and returns to him through our prayer, love and praise.  The book is available to borrow from the Church Library.

Deptford Reach thanks us for all the clothes, towels and bedding given (and bowls, spoons etc).  Warm clothes are especially needed now and new hats, gloves etc, so they can be given as Christmas presents.  All in the Blue Box please.  Do take an Annual Report on the windowsill for information or see Sue Rodgers.

The November edition of Rochester Link is available at the back of church.

Foodbank – In November we are supporting CAP (Penge).  Please put all non-perishable food items (no pet food please) in clear plastic box in north aisle.

Many thanks to the Mistletoe Homegroup for serving tea and coffee today.
Next week the Clockhouse Homegroup will be on duty.


It is not our practice to take a collection during services, but there is an offertory plate at the back if you would like to contribute towards the work and ministry of St Paul’s.  

A reminder to parents/carers – Children are most welcome at St Paul’s.  Please keep an eye on your children and make sure they are safe, in the church and gardens.
