Making posies for Mothering Sunday - Saturday 10th March, 10am, in the hall.  All help welcome!  Any queries please speak to Anne Howick.

Quiz Night – Saturday 10th March, 7pm.  Tickets are available today at the back of church.  £8, including ploughman’s supper; bring your own drink/nibbles; raffle on the night.  Proceeds will go towards church funds.  Doors open at 6.30pm.

All Age Service for Mothering Sunday, 11th March, 10.30am.   An opportunity to celebrate motherhood and motherly love.   Also, a chance to pause and reflect with  those for whom this is a difficult time.

On Maundy Thursday, 29th March, there will be a Passover-style meal in the church hall (6.30pm for 7pm). There is no charge, but voluntary contributions will be welcome.  Please sign the list at the back of church if you would like to come.

CCTV in the Church - You may have noticed the two cameras installed in the church: one by the font overlooking the main entrance and another in the chancel looking down the nave aisle.  These are part of our new AV system, and give the organists a clear view of what is happening during the service.  As a happy coincidence, these can also be used as a security measure, as we work toward keeping the building open during the week.

Wanted for Church Garden - Please do not throw out any pots of daffodils or small cyclamen you may have had indoors!  Also, if you are splitting plants later, pulmonaria, ferns, Solomon’s Seal or other shade-tolerant perennials would be appreciated.  Items can be left safely by the compost bins or contact Moreen Lane.

Welcome for Pre-school families – Please sign the list at the back of church if you are able to help for the rest of this term, opening the church and serving tea and coffee on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 8.30am  to 9.15am.

Lent Prayer Space –  During Lent, on Tuesdays at 8pm, and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 12 noon, the church is open for an hour.  Do feel free to come and go as you please, to join in prayer, to receive prayer, or simply to enjoy the silence.

Defibrillator – If anyone would like information and reassurance about how to use the defibrillator, we recommend looking at St John’s Ambulance website or YouTube, or talk to Adrian Landman for further information about our unit.

Tea & Coffee – Many thanks to the Lakeside Home Group for serving tea and coffee today.  Next week the Beckett Home Group will be on duty.

Mission of the Month – Crosslinks

We pray for Nick and Harriet Algeo as they prepare for their move to the Servants of the Word College in The Gambia in June.  We give thanks for the response they have received from churches and individuals who have pledged financial and prayer support for their mission.

We pray that all their practical needs would be met in the next few months, and especially for the health and safety of their young children Phoebe and Arthur in a new country.

See the board at the back of church for more information!
